Norman Yatooma founded Norman Yatooma & Associates, P.C. in August of 2000, after leaving one of Michigan's largest law firms, Butzel Long, P.C. Mr. Yatooma represents corporate and individual clients on a local and international level, personally concentrating his litigation practice in franchise, class action, corporate, and real estate law. With significant federal and state court litigation experience, including mediation, arbitration, and bench and jury trials, Mr. Yatooma is able to fluently maneuver his cases through the courts.

Mr. Yatooma is an outstanding negotiator, having attained excellent results for his clients, including large settlements, successful contracts and business ventures, and other advantageous transactions. Mr. Yatooma's negotiation skills have also been utilized as a certified lobbyist, able to provide both public and private clients with quality, issue-based representation before Congress and the Executive Branch. Presently, as a Director of Charities Advocating Responsible Solutions, Inc., he is working with non-profit clients to oppose legislation that would have a significant negative effect on charitable giving throughout the country.

Mr. Yatooma was also featured by The Franchise Times, recognized as one the nation's preeminent franchise lawyers.

Mr. Yatooma practices in all Michigan State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Utah and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Yatooma is an active member of the Litigation, Franchise Law, Business Law, and Real Estate Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Yatooma is also Co-Chairman of the National Business Advisory Council.

In addition to his many professional accomplishments, Mr. Yatooma has continued to maintain his standing in the community through his involvement in many charitable organizations, including his role as Founder and President of Yatooma's Foundation For The Kids; Chairman, President, and General Counsel for Charity Motors; Board Member of the Alzheimer's Association; Board Member of Band of Angels; Board Member of Dominic Russo Ministries; Advisory Board Member of Oak Park Business and Education Alliance; Advisory Council Member for the Oakland County Sheriff; General Counsel and Advisory Board Member of Oakland Christian Church. Additionally, Mr. Yatooma conducts regular public speaking engagements for various community groups, serves as a Program Participant on radio station WJR's "Call For Action," and as a Guest Speaker/Lecturer for multiple non-profit organizations.

Mr. Yatooma graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and minors in Communications and English Writing from Taylor University, where he received the United States Achievement Academy's All-American Scholar and National Collegiate Student Government Awards, among several others. Mr. Yatooma received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana where he graduated with honors and was named to the Order of Barristers. Mr. Yatooma was also a recipient of the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition First Place Award and the Moot Court Best Oralist Award, as judged and awarded by the late United States Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Having been awarded a place on the National Moot Court Team and the Moot Court Board, Mr. Yatooma is now honored to serve as an alumnus Moot Court Judge.
